Steven Budhiharto – teammanager

Steven Budhiharto

“This year I have been presented with a new challenge where I was very keen to get started. My name is Steven Budhiharto, born in Indonesia to a mix of Chinese and Indonesian ethnicity. The challenge was to be a manager for an amateur club in Bandung, Super Progresif. I will be working together with Roy Wilhelm to try and build a team that is capable not only of challenging honours but also to produce talents that we can spread to different parts of the world.
My place in the team is a manager and an assistant coach, where I help with the team’s necessities that includes finding accomodation, preparing training equipment to allocating budget to meet the team’s needs. It’s been a great experience and even though this is my first ever managerial career, I will still give it my best. With the help and guidance from Roy, I do hope that I can be more than able to further improve what was an amateur club into a professional club that has the value and vision of Dutch football.
We have begun the season that is based in Majalengka. With new environment, stadium and also the climate, we struggled. Two losses and a draw is not an acceptable start especially after the hard preparation that we have done. There are still however, 8 games to play for. With the standings showing that every other club is beatable, we are gearing up for the last remaining games. We are hoping for a change of fortune when we play again next Tuesday, 8th May against Bina Putra!”
